About Parks of Utah
Our Mission
Parks of Utah exists for one reason: to help families find the right park. Utah has over 1,500 city parks and playgrounds spread across all 29 counties, from splash pads in St. George to mountain-framed playgrounds in Logan. We catalog every one of them so you can search by location, filter by amenities, and read reviews from other families before you load the kids in the car.
How It Works
Every park in our directory includes its location, address, available amenities, and community reviews. You can browse by county, search by city or park name, filter for specific features like splash pads or walking trails, or explore the interactive map to find parks near you.
Reviews are submitted by visitors like you. We do not require an account to leave a review — just a display name, a star rating, and a few words about your experience. All reviews go through a moderation step before appearing on the site.
Our Data
We built our initial park database using publicly available data from mapping services, cross-referenced with city park directories and county records. Each park entry includes GPS coordinates, address information, and available amenities sourced from multiple data providers.
Park descriptions are original content written specifically for this site. We do not copy descriptions from other sources. If you notice inaccurate information about a park, please let us know so we can correct it.
Coverage
We currently cover all 29 Utah counties with over 1,500 parks in our directory. Coverage is strongest along the Wasatch Front (Salt Lake, Utah, Davis, and Weber counties) and in southern Utah (Washington and Iron counties). Rural counties have fewer parks but we include every public park and playground we can identify.
