Parks of Utah collects minimal information to operate the site and improve your experience:
- Reviews: When you submit a review, we store your display name (or “Anonymous”), rating, review text, and a hashed version of your IP address for rate-limiting purposes. We do not store your raw IP address.
- Analytics: If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage data such as page views, session duration, and general geographic region.
- Cookies: We use a single first-party cookie (
pou_cookie_consent) to remember your cookie preference. Third-party cookies from Google Analytics and Google AdSense are only set if you accept cookies.

- Prevent spam and abuse through rate limiting

Data Retention
Reviews are retained indefinitely unless you request deletion. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics default settings (14 months). Cookie consent preferences are stored in your browser's local storage.
