Information We Collect
Parks of Utah collects minimal information to operate the site and improve your experience:
- Reviews: When you submit a review, we store your display name (or “Anonymous”), rating, review text, and a hashed version of your IP address for rate-limiting purposes. We do not store your raw IP address.
- Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage — pages viewed, traffic sources, approximate (city-level) location, and device type. We do not enable Google Signals or ad personalization, so this data is not used for advertising. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal and do not load analytics for visitors in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland.
- Cookies: Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as
_ga) to measure aggregate usage; these are suppressed when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which we honor, and you can also clear or block them through your browser's cookie controls. Google AdSense serves ads to all visitors and may use cookies in accordance with Google's policies; you can opt out of personalized advertising via the privacy options on this site, at Google's Ad Settings, or through your browser's privacy controls.

- Browse the site without submitting any personal information
Data Retention
Reviews are retained indefinitely unless you request deletion.
