Willow Park

Willow Park is on 700 South in west Logan and is part of what Logan City calls the greater Willow Park and Cache County Fairgrounds park system, the largest public recreational facility in the city. The park area includes Zootah, the community zoo that started in 1970 as the Willow Park Zoo. Zootah became a private nonprofit in 2013, covers about seven acres next to the Cache County Fairgrounds, and charges its own admission.

On the west side, near 500 West, is Skylar's Pond, a community fishery with an accessible fishing pier. The Cache Valley Visitors Bureau lists the pond as reserved for anglers 14 and under and people with disabilities, and says it is stocked with trout, channel catfish and bluegill. Just south of 700 South, the Willow Park Sports Complex has four softball fields that Logan uses for recreational softball; the complex was built in 1981 and its infields were refurbished in 2024.

Around the zoo and pond, the city describes playgrounds, pavilions and open space. Logan Parks and Recreation rents two areas in the park: the covered Willow Park Lion's pavilion, which seats 100 and has electricity, and Willow Park Center Stage, an uncovered cement pad with electricity that seats 300. Reservations cover April 15 through October 15 and should be made at least five business days ahead. When checked in September 2026, the city listed a $40 fee for the Lion's pavilion and $60 for Center Stage.
