Toadstool Hoodoos

Toadstool Hoodoos features a collection of desert rock formations eroded by wind into distinctive mushroom shapes, with the solitary "lonesome hoodoo" serving as the most recognizable landmark. The trail crosses sloped, semi-challenging terrain through colorful badlands that shift in hue as the sun moves, making late afternoon particularly scenic. Restrooms are available at the trailhead, but there's no shade along the route, so plan accordingly. The area is suitable for all ages who can handle moderate terrain, though timing is important since the trail becomes difficult to navigate after dark.
