About Amphitheater Park
Amphitheater Park in Sandy is home to the Sandy Splash Pad, one of the city's highlighted parks, beside the Sandy Amphitheater at 9400 South 1300 East. Sandy's parks facility guide lists the park at 21.86 acres with a playground, restrooms, a three-quarter-mile walking path and seven tables. It is a non-reservable park, so there is no pavilion to book.
The splash pad has seven waterfalls, surrounded by green lawn and shade structures, with mountain views to the east and Salt Lake Valley views to the west. As listed by the city in September 2026, the splash pad season runs from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and the park may close for amphitheater performances. The water is treated and recycled. City rules require adult supervision for children under 12, swim diapers for young children who are not toilet trained, and diaper changes in the restrooms. Food, drinks, glass and pets are not allowed on or around the water feature, and neither are skateboards, scooters or bikes.
Parking is free. The amphitheater's West Parking Lot, off 9400 South, is the closest lot to Amphitheater Park and the splash pad, and the East Lot off 1300 East sits next to the Sandy Senior Center.
