Midvale Jordan River Parkway

This stretch of the Jordan River Parkway offers a surprising escape from urban Sandy, with walking trails that follow the river through a corridor that feels more remote than its city location suggests. The park includes restrooms and a pond area, though a fire previously destroyed cottonwood trees that once provided significant shade along the water. Shade is now limited, so plan accordingly for sunny days. New construction has changed parts of the landscape, but the trails still provide a decent option for walking or biking along the river.
