Spring Lake Park

Spring Lake Park is a Payson City park built around Spring Lake, a community fishing pond at 12240 South Spring Lake Road, south of Payson. A 2023 incorporation feasibility study for the Spring Lake area describes it as an 18.14-acre park owned by Payson City.

Payson lists the park's hours as dawn to dusk and its features as a dock, benches, picnic tables and portable toilets. The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources also notes picnic tables, benches and shade, and says there are no wheelchair accommodations. Payson lists no pavilion at Spring Lake Park, and the city takes reservations only at McMullin, Memorial Park and Kiwanis, with other sites first come, first served.

Spring Lake is one of the DWR's community fisheries, and its Fish Utah page lists bluegill, channel catfish, largemouth bass and rainbow trout as likely catches. Under the 2025 fishing guidebook's community-fishery rules, the daily limit is two fish (common carp do not count), tiger muskie must be released right away, anglers are encouraged to release largemouth bass, and fishing is allowed only when the park is open. The DWR's directions start at I-15 exit 248 (Santaquin) and follow SR-198 into Spring Lake.
