Charleston Day Use Area sits along Deer Creek Reservoir and functions primarily as a boat launch and water access point rather than a traditional park. The shoreline is marshy with mucky water better suited for kayaking or paddleboarding than swimming. Shade is essentially nonexistent, so plan accordingly. Access costs $20 per vehicle on Saturdays, paid through an online QR code system at the entrance.
