About Bicentennial Park

Bicentennial Park is one of Sandy's full-service city parks, covering 9.39 acres at 530 East 8680 South next to the Sandy Parks and Recreation headquarters at 440 East 8680 South. (It is a different park from Provo's Bicentennial Park.)

According to the city, the park has two lighted softball fields, two lighted tennis courts and four lighted pickleball courts. The playground has a free-standing shade structure and synthetic grass. Other amenities include cornhole areas, hammock areas, a slackline, a basketball stand, a barbecue pit, a three-eighths-mile walking trail, restrooms, and electrical and water outlets, plus nine picnic tables.

Bicentennial has both an indoor and an outdoor pavilion that can be reserved. The Bicentennial Indoor Pavilion holds 80 people and includes round tables and chairs, and one outdoor pavilion sits directly behind it. As listed by the city in September 2026, indoor pavilion reservations are made online up to 180 days in advance and cannot be made within 72 hours of the date. The outdoor pavilion is also reserved online through Sandy's recreation registration site, and park questions go to Sandy Parks and Recreation at 801-568-2900.
